Been on vacation...

Been on vacation all of last week, and than I ended up with my friend's stomach flu :( First I thought it was from the fun which was had for my birthday and my vacation week, but than I realized after I spiked a fever, that it was in fact the flu!!! Thankfully at work, it is our complete down time, and while I thought I was going to have to work mass hours to be able to take off work the 5th, I think things are ok!

Life has been good. With careful monitoring and watching, I have been happy and healthy for the most part. Enjoying what summer has to offer. The weather here has finally turned to summer, and I am looking forward to the 4th weekend full of summer fun fun fun!!! My IUD has been doing rather well. Sex & strings isn't an issue for my hubbie anymore, and while I spot sometimes, for the most part it is centered around a week or so, the remaining week is very light, and a simple panty liner works. I have to say that the IUD thus far has had it's up and downs, but I am happy with the results. I am actually paying off my medical bills, and most should be paid off by year end, MINUS the fucking surgery bill from the hosptial for my phatom surgery. However I am happy to say that I am close and it feels amazinggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggg!!!!

It seems as though my body is leveling out from the weight gain. I am ok with weigh +10ish lbs. I have been told by people that I look healthy, and plus having hooters again is nice LOL It is what it is, and that's just it. I am happy though that it seems to be leveling out, because I couldn't handle the guessing game anymore!!!!

Allergies

This has been all over the news today, and while today is my birthday, I will make this short. I am happy that American is starting to realize that the "American diet" is in no way healthy or making our bodies happy. Most of the food we eat today, isn't even really food. Of course people have allergies, with all the crap in our food today, who wouldn't?!?!?

So I say with great pleasure. I am Happy that America mighttttttttttttttt be starting to recognize helping INSTEAD of harming our youth!!!

Yummy Burger Night

My hubbie got this recipe emailed to him from a co-worker, so we decided to try it out. I know from the photo it's hard to tell, but it was bomb!!! Since I can't eat wheat, I don't have a bun & also those are sweet potato fries! My hubbie had them with English muffins (he likes better than regular buns) and tator tots. The brown rice creates an awesome texture to the burgers, and also the apple sauce creates a warm sweat taste! VERY YUMMY! Totally good for you as well, and I didn't have to cut anything out of the recipe! A keeper for a recipe!

First glimpse...

In the morning, when you firdt wake up, it's the best time in the morning to me. You wake up, see the mirror and you have no judgements, no sterotypes, no guilt for the food or drinks you haad that day. It truely is the best time in the morning. You see your body naked and raw, and truely at it's best (for me anyways). I dont see the scars of past surgeies or mental wounds which have yet to heal. You only see the naked raw truth of who you truely are. I love it. I dont think abou how I wish my stomach looked different or how I need to workout more, I just see me.

Tomorrow I start an assessment with a local kickboxing/martial arts coach. This is SO OUTSIDE of my comfort zone. I always work out alone and free from judgment of other people. Yoga took a big step for me years ago, but no one is there to judge you, everyone is in there own space & mental healing. I have always wanted to try a kickboxing class through a martial arts instructor but always the little voice in my head would overrule my desire. The class is Tuesday-Thursday and while I am scared & shy, I am also equally excited. I think and hope it will bring my health & fitness level to a level which I have been striving for.  As hubbie says, sometimes you need to step outside your comfort level to get something you have always wanted to do. I am so happy I have his support and encouragement. Welp off to start my day. I worked all day yesterday, it's sunny & gorgeous out, so I might go run the river trail :-)

Hehe Silly girly Doc

I got this letter my OB/GYN after I went to see her when I had the bleeding scare last month. They had to test me for Chlamydia, since I guess they are required to by law when they insert the IUD, she forgot. I told my hubbie, he laughed and said "It better be clean!" LOL

It made me laugh. Check it.
It reads "Hope things have settled down with your Uterus"

Cold stop!

I have sworn by these herbs for years, and my husband has always thought I was crazy.. In fact most people when I tell them, look at me like I am nuts, but man EVERY time I feel like a cold is coming on, you start taking these. Dr. Shen's Yin Chiao . At the sign of a cold, you take 3 pills every 3 hours for the remainder of the day, and let me tell you, THEY WORK!!! Yesterday I was feeling awful. Woke up and I couldn't breathe out of my nose, and my head was killing me. I was freaking exhausted and felt like I got ran over by a bus. There is a ton of different colds going around, and one comes with a gnarly ass cough & stays around for weeks. NO THANK YOU!!! So I stayed home from work and took the pills. I woke up this morning with some head congestion, but feel 90% better!!! My husband even takes them now. He sees the power in them. For him, when he takes them they make him sweat it all out during the night, sort of like his body is trying to sweat out the poison. For me they make me pee a lot, and my stomach flush out. Whatever it is, it works and it kicks ass!!!

Yoga blindfolded!!

Miss P decided to throw something into the mix today BLINDFOLDED yoga. I can't even tell you how awesome it was. It completely changes your poses & the way your mind thinks. As she said, your eyes judge and present stereotypes to you, when you take the vision sense out, you have to rely on one thing, yourself. We did simple poses and flows, and it completely changes them. It changes the way you hold your poses, how your mind thinks, what you focus on. We went into tree pose which normally is a piece of cake, and I could barely lift my left off the ground. It was crazy cool. To anyone who has practiced yoga for years, or simply new to it, I can't say enough amazing things about it. Such a different and eye opening (LOL) experience!!!

Chicken in a bag recipe! DELICIOUS!!!!

I feel inclined to share with people yummy recipes when I make them or find them, since with my GF allergy and so many other allergies, it's often hard to find a receipe which I can make in its entrity and not have to change or cut something out. Last night I made the below receipe. I didnt have time to take a photo because my hubbie & i devored the dinner! We made it with corn & brown rice with some onions, chicken broth and butter. It was DELICIOUS!!!!! The recipe comes from McCormick receipe website, and it was so delcious and easy to make. Throw everything ina bag and BAM cook. The brown rice was the same way, throw everything together & let it sit for 45 mins, same time as the chicken. My husband's comment was "This is the best chicken I have had in years!".

FDA unveils new Food Plate

THANK GOD FDA!!!! It's been twenty years of the food pyramid, and with all the changes in our society & being that 1 in 3 people are obese, I think it's time. I like this new model, it's easier for kids to understand & I think it had a great message.

Soy & Dark Blood...

I was on vacation for the last 6 days, and it was AWESOME! Sure I had moments where I didn't feel good, but for the most part my body held out for some serious partying with family & friends, and the Lake. I had a massive headache the last day of the trip, but I think to much fun could of caused that....

So while I was on vacation, I eat pretty much only the following:
Gluten-Free Muffins for breakfast
Fagel & turkey for lunch with some chips
Fagel with Turkey hot dog for dinner
I didn't once eat anything I wasn't suppose to. I was SO GOOD! So proud of myself. It is so easy when you are drinking to lose your willpower and just say fuck it, but I didn't & I wanted to stay healthy and happy for the whole trip, which I succeeded. The last day my hubbie was feeling it to, so the last night we hung out together on top of the boat <3 Love that guy man. Anyways, so on our way back, we all decided that we wanted yummy Chinese food. Which as you know, is loaded with soy which I always tried to avoid in large quantities but never thought about small and if they might affect me. So we ate yummy Chinese, and within 1 hour, I was bleeding (which was almost gone during Lake trip) and in pain. During the trip I was thinking how amazing my IUD is working out for me right now, and I am starting to notice good things... Later on that night, my hands & feet starting itching like crazy. It was awful. The next day I felt SO NAUSEATED like I was getting a stomach flu. I am trying to think of the major difference in what I ate, and it is soy. I am debating starting this weekend, maybe cutting out soy completely for a week or so, and seeing if it is another allergy causing food in my body?~!?!? I know right. ANOTHER fucking thing I can't eat, but seriously I noticed such a difference after I ate this one thing, and after feeling amazing the whole trip and drive home, it makes me think. The whole trip I was able to wear a tampon and THAT'S IT!!! Weird. I hardly had any bleeding, and was completely as ease with the whole thing. Than BAM stomach flu symptoms & dark bleeding. Now I am wondering if maybe, just maybe, soy might be the one component I a missing... Weird. I don't know, I have to think about it, it just adds yet ANOTHER thing I cant eat. But I need to do some research on Soy & possible allergy affects. Till than..... research bitches.
